A few weeks back, one of the greatest things happened! Yes, Cath kidston came to Newcastle!!! The store is set over 2 floors and showcases all Cath Kidston's new collections from Homeware, bespoke fabrics and wallpapers, to fashion, accessories and kidswear alongside one off vintage pieces! They had a sister store in Fenwicks already, but theres nothing like being able to spend hours looking at all the pretty products in an actual Cath Kidston store! So inevitably I went down to the opening! I was so impressed with the store, and found it incredibly difficult not to spend all my pennies! (I would have done if Christmas wasn't so close). There was so many intricate little displays, which made the whole shopping experience extra special! I also had a nose at the clothing collection, and fell totally in love with all the soft cotton, floral shirts! A definite new addition to my ever growing christmas list! May i also just add, that the staff were absolutely lovely!
Previous to the store opening, the lovely Lucy from Cath Kidston PR contacted me to ask if i, 1. Wanted to do a little interview with the store manager and 2. Receive some products to give away to all my lovely readers! I obviously jumped at the chance, so here is the interview with Alex, the store manager! and the gorgeous give away will be coming VERY soon!
What products are set to be popular for christmas? / Is there a christmas collection?
We have a Christmas all wrapped up at Cath Kidston… paper chains, baubles, wrapping paper, china, charity Christmas cards, aprons for making your festive lunch as well as the latest edition in our series of craft books – Make Your Own Christmas Decorations. Our Christmas print aprons in the glass Christmas baubles I can see being popular – they are novelty and fun.
What are your favourite products?
My favourite products are the Day bag in Red Berry Spot and our new Tea Rose Stripe China. I have both these on my Christmas wish list!
What is your role as store manager at Cath Kidston?
The role for me is about representing the brand, making sure the store looks great all of the time and brilliant customer service. I love it.
When do you feel is the best time for sale shopping? We all love Cath Kidston sales!
Boxing day is when I do all my sale shopping and spend all my Christmas money.
For anyone on a tight budget, are there any products you would recommend?
I would recommend the crush mugs which are £5, they are larger than your standard mug so you can have a a really good cup of Tea. I also love the make-up and wash bags which are priced at £10 and £12. These you would use every day and they also make excellent gifts.
I hope you enjoyed this post girlies! I'd love to know your thoughts on Cath Kidston stores, too! Oh, and remember to *watch this space* for my giveaway! x x x
