In a land, far, far, away

Hello my lovlies,

sincere apologies for the lack of posts, however, i have what i feel, a perfectly good excuse.. I went to Russia! yep, i sure did! Everyone i tell is just like 'why Russia?' well, why not? I have to be honest i was abit unsure as to whether i would enjoy it, but after being back less than 12 hours and already missing it, i can safely say, I loved it! <3

I went with the family for 10 days over this half term and explored the attractions of St. Petersburg. I'm not really one for history, but i really enjoyed getting a taste of their culture and background...tres interesting. The Hermitage however, is incredibly dull! After seeing what felt like 5000 paintings of naked woman and walking through 300 halls, I soon gave up and left after a 3 and a half hour tour - cake seemed more appealing. mmmmm!

The food out there was incredible, unless in a typically Russian restaurant (they pour salt on everything) WHY?!? and the Vodka supply was endless...you can imagine the state i spent most of the week in.

On to fashion; It's only been the last 5 years or so that St. Petersburg has seen more fashion retailers. H&M and Zara mainly dominate Nevski Street (there equivalent to Oxford street) and more and more fashion stores are opening, including Bershka (definitely reccomend checking it out) Unfortunately though, their prices are extortunate! Zara was near on twice the price as England, hence i didn't buy anything fashion wise. On the brighter side, was Duty free - what a babe. My mum, sister and I all had a bit of a splurge to say the least. I purchased a YSL rouge volupte lipstick in the number 7, and Oh Lola perfume by Marc Jacobs <3 I really reccomend these lipsticks, they're only slightly more than MAC, and are just soooo moisturising and in the most amazing, versatile colours! and look at the packaging - beautiful. Perfume wise, i have been using vivianne westwood and Miss Dior Cherie, but i've always had a crush on marc jacobs perfumes and simply fell in love with Oh, Lola - Current favourite.

£68 for 100ml

£15 <3 <3 <3
Anyhow, once ive edited and beautified my pics from Russia i'll upload them and maybe give a bit more detail into what i did out there...if you want? Hope you are all well, and thankyou so much for following and reading my blog! Nearly at 20 ;)

Much love <3
