New addition to the Boudoir . . .

Bedding and mirror : IKEA

Hello girlies, how are you all? It feels like ages since i last blogged (when it's only 5 days) but still, I'm so used to blogging nearly everyday that a little break feels like eternity. I know everyone always says 'sorry for not blogging' but i do feel like you deserve a little explanation... well, my grampy passed away last week, so I've not really been feeling up to much, and taking pictures of myself is literally the last thing I've wanted to do. The funeral is on tuesday, so we're travelling down south tomorrow morning and back again wednesday morning! Things are so manic but hopefully it will all be back on track soon! I'm actually playing the flute (yes, i play it for those that don't know) at his funeral too. Me and my grandpa both shared a passion for music, so that's what made us so close. Although it will be hard, i really do owe it to him to play one last song before we say goodbye. My sister is fortunately blessed with an amazing voice so we're going to play 'Thankyou for the music - ABBA' as a duet, and i have to say, it sounds rather lovely! If i can get someone to record it, i will :) Anyway, at least you all know.

So, onto the point of this post ... My bedroom and i have a serious love/hate relationship. The amount of times i have changed the 'theme' of my room is endless, but it has now got to the point of beyond all ridiculousness so i desperately needed to MAKE-UP-MY-MIND! Rather difficult really. But nevertheless, i decided on the good ol' girly, pretty and pink. It's easy to do, looks good and is something my girly self is never to grow out of. So after giving all my old leopard print blankets and cushions to my kitten, my lovely mummy spoilt me to a few new things for my room; this new duvet set being one of them. I have honestly never been so excited about a bed set in all my life. It felt like i had a brand new room and has given me tonnes of inspiration on how to complete my little space in the house. It's only from IKEA, but the quality is outstanding, and it's so yummy and cosy! So if you're looking to re-decorate your boudoir, definitely check out IKEA (I'm sure everyone does anyway)! The mirror (Also from IKEA for £25) and hooks are just a little picture i chucked in to show you how i store some of my jewellery and scarves etc... , and also to give you a sneak peak of my 'hopefully to be soon' room tour!

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend girlies! Welcome to all my lovely new followers too! I promise to get round to replying to your sweet comments soon! xxx

  1. What a beautiful bedroom!

I'm really sorry to hear about your grandfather. Mine actually passed away too a few weeks ago, so I know how your feeling. I spoke at his funeral last week, was one of the hardest but most fulfilling things I think I'll ever do. We were very close so felt like I owed him for all he did. I hope it goes okay, I think it's beautiful you'll be playing your flute.

I'm here if you need to chat, send me an email or tweet.

    Take care,
    Marie x
